The Pickleball Dance Warm-Up is one of the best ways to prepare your mind and your body to play pickleball and decrease your chances of injury.

Dance, sports, and fitness have always been closely connected. The way athletes move has often been described as balletic, and ballet dancers are often described as athletic. Fitness classes and dance moves have been soul mates from the start—from Richard Simmons Dancing to the Oldies to Hip-Hop classes, Zumba, and crossover moves from Madonna and Janet Jackson. AND NOW PICKLEBALL DANCE MOVES!

The PICKLEBALL WARM-UP DANCE unites sports, science, and dance. It is a combo of pickleball-specific moves (taking you through the all-important three planes of human movement) and dance moves, in this case, the Charleston, as if sports science and art had a baby. We'll continue to build variations of the dance, adding new moves from ballroom to ballet, from Martha Graham to Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
